This place was kinda scary, honestly creepiest vibes, very off putting and odd communication. Super dusty and dirty cob webs everywhere. the manager advised us there might be somewhere better for us to stay even after we had just spoken with him about a room and he half hazard agreed to provide us one. He acted like they were fully booked except there wasn’t a car in any of the parking lots and every unit looked totally closed up. I got the impression they wanted us to be rude or demand a room, so later when we end up murdered (and they’re wearing our skin) they wouldn’t have to feel bad. Head up to wonder valley instead if you value your life.

Quaint room, well kept.
Shower had a nozzle that resembled a pressure washer. Would recommend bringing your own shampoo/conditioner, the small bar of soap was shattered, but I travel with my own so wasn't a huge deal.
The AC worked nicely and kept the room nice and cool.
Check-in was a little odd:
A small, faded white board showed hours as 8am-8pm however open sign was off. Ring the doorbell , or call # listed on it and they'll answer. The check in was quick and easy, however office reeked of cigarette smoke. Gentleman was polite and quick.

The room was small, but it was decently equipped. It had a bed and bathroom (obviously), plus a TV and coffee maker. It lacked surfaces to put things on though, e.g. I had to use the bed to put my suitcase on. Not really a big deal, just a minor inconvenience.

The location can be good or bad depending on what you're looking for. I had spent the entire day exploring Sequoia and King's Canyon national parks, so what I wanted was something as close as I could get to the exit of King's Canyon on the way to Yosemite. For me, the location was great since all I needed was a place to sleep and somewhere to get dinner. There's one restaurant nearby, almost right beside it - a pizza place. There's really nothing else within maybe half an hour, so if you need more than that, this isn't the place for you.

As for service, I'll give the guy the benefit of the doubt. He seemed a bit grumpy, but I think that's largely because I woke him up when I rang the buzzer to check in. I'd probably be grumpy too if I were in his shoes.

The only real issue I had was that when I walked into the room, it was 90F. The A/C unit on the wall didn't seem to work, so I was wondering how I was going to sleep that night. I started looking on Expedia for places close by, willing to forfeit whatever I paid for this place, but the closest I found was in Fresno which was about 45 minutes away. Thankfully, when I walked into the bathroom I saw one of those in-the-window A/C units, which worked, but was turned off. I turned it on, and within a couple of hours, the room was down to 68F. Much better. It would have been nice if the A/C had been turned on prior to my arrival.

Absolutely worst experience ever. I have never not enjoyed a stay at a motel (and I’ve stayed in some sketchy places), but this is by far the worst place I have ever been to.

Arrived at night due to a flight cancellation and when we tried to check in the owner started yelling at us. He slurred his words and it looked like he was drunk. He screamed at us saying we couldn’t arrive at night, and even threatened to call the cops for trespassing. There was no signage anywhere indicating what to do in case you arrive at night and how to check in.

Besides that, the exterior of this place was in shambles and it looked really bad even for a cheap motel.

Avoid this place at all costs.

We ended up leaving and staying at a Holiday Inn 20 minutes away.

About 30 minutes away from the National Park entrance. Came across this place last minute because our reservation inside the NP got canceled. Exteriors don't paint a good impression, but thoroughly surprised and exceeded expectations. Good amenities in the rooms and baths. Also have a dollar general opposite the road.
