A great place to stay! Friendly staff and owner, lots of activity to engage in (even though it was off season). Met good people and will carry back great memories. It also brought out the outstanding talent in Sikkim - even the staff all could sing and some could play the guitar, nearly professional. I loved my stay here.

The rooms are pretty small and there's no desk for using inside the rooms

The lockers in the room are small and can't fit a medium sized trolley. But backpacks and rugsacks can fit in properly

The beds are decent and each bed has a charging port and reading light

It would be good if they had a mosquito net on the window since there are flies if you keep the window open for ventilation

The view is good from the toilet... So maybe click the pictures from that window

The location is 1 km from MG marg and it's a decent climb on the road since it's a hilly area.

We arrived at Zostel Gangtok on time, but our room wasn't ready, which was disappointing. Once we got in, we faced several issues: the bathroom door wouldn't close properly, and the lamp's cable was broken. The double bed room felt cramped for the price we paid, and there were no socket points near the table for the kettle, making it inconvenient. Overall, we encountered multiple problems during our stay and cannot recommend this place.

This is the best hostel In Gangtok. Right from the location to all the staffs . If I will write about each of them it will be lengthy. ROHAN is one of the member of Zostel and I can bet u will find no one like him who is so helpful . AKASH is the manager of the property and he helps you with everything, right from the itinerary to booking the cab for sightseeing and to help you to find the best restaurant to have the local cuisine.

It was a wonderful stay at Zostel Gangtok. Akash & Sahil along with the property manager Angella are always there to make sure you are taken care of. Felt very safe as a solo traveller and met some lovely people who are now friends for life. There is Airtel connectivity issues but terrace cafe and common room at the ground floor solves that issue if you want to work.

You need to connect with the locals or check with the staffs for travelling nearby so that you don’t end up paying alot to local taxi or just rent a bike.

Overall it was a wonderful stay and would love to go back soon.

Bad experience for me. I am travelling with my wife and booked a private room based on the reputation of Zostel and my previous experience in Rishikesh and Jaipur. This particular place is not even 1% of other Zostels excepts the looks.

Bad services, poor ambience, extremely small rooms.

This is one of the best hostel I have came across.
Location- it's only 800m from Mg marg and u can get taxi from outside of the zostel to mg marg which cost u ₹30.
Ambience - Rooms are neat and clean
The cafeteria is the best place to hangout.
Staffs - the zostel members are so friendly and they help u getting all the information at very budget friendly price.
Overal experience is very good ?
