Absolutely amazing place to stay. We only stayed 4 nights, but never wanted to leave anymore. The breakfast is fresh and the one of best we've ever had. Everything is homemade with personal touch. Pieter & Margot are lovely and attentive. The rooms are spacious, lovely decorated, and all of the rooms have a private outside space. The pool area is well taken care of the good equipped with an honesty bar. Thank you for everything!

Every detail seemed to be placed from the heart: beautiful but personal. And awesome energy rom entering the Casa and seeing Pieter and his big smile to entering our room, hanging out at the pool, listening to the lounge music around the (well equipped) honesty bar to talking to Pieter and Margot and the other guests over the super yummy (and home made) breakfast and exchanging ideas for beautiful hikes and beach visits ... everything made our three and a half days to perfect get-away. Thank you to two wonderful hosts y hasta luego!

Pasamos dos noche estupendas. El desayuno es muy bueno y variado. Hay todo tipo de frutas, dos tipos de panes, bizcocho, varios tipos de quesos, jamón y algún embutido más, entre otras cosas.
También tienen disponible desayuno sin gluten (hay que solicitarlo antes)

Cuando llegas el sueño te hace un tour y te explica todo, te da las llaves de la habitación con un mando para el portón para salir y entrar con el coche cuando quieras (el parking es gratis)

En la piscina hay un bar en el que te sirves tu mismo y anotas lo que consumes. Hay una lista de precios de todo. No hace falta llevar toalla de piscina, en la habitación habrá dos.

Se está muy a gusto, aunque hay que salir para comer y cenar y las almohadas no era demasiado cómodas.

Casa Luz del Sur, a beautiful spot to relax. A lovingly restored finca, where it is easy to feel at home. A breakfast with lots of homemade delicacies. Casa Luz del Sur should be named "The leading B&B accommodation of the world" as this would be worthy of what we encountered here. The rooms are high quality and very tastefully decorated as well as extremely clean. The two owners, Margot & Pieter, take very good care of their guests and we felt very comfortable after only a short time. All in all: TOP and a stay is absolutely recommendable! Rosa and Michael

I normally do not provide online reviews, but this one is so special; I must do it.||In English (as a Dutchman) as Casa del Luz is internationally orientated.||They (Pieter and Margot) call themselves a B&B, but in my opinion, it is a luxury hotel with only a few rooms and no restaurant. Swimming pool with a self-service bar. An A+ for Hygiene. A perfect place to really relax and to charge your batteries again. The breakfast is the proud work of Pieter every morning, the buffet is a colorful pallet of all fresh products and all sorts of bread just out of the oven. Close to Malaga, Marbella, many beaches and other things to see, like the carminito del Rey. Situated on a mountain, there is always is a fresh breeze. 20 minutes’ walk to Alhaurin del Grande with numerous bars and restaurants. Golf course at 3km and many others in the vicinity. In short, Casa del Luz is highly recommendable.

Reluctant to give review as being selfish it may become too popular ! On the other hand the proprietors deserve as many bookings as possible. The location, individual rooms are excellent. The breakfast is superb, with so much choice & homemade specialities, served with a warmth rarely experienced by Brits anywhere. The Hosts are multi- lingual, caring, great fun & will give every assistance to ensure a great holiday, whether it be a night/ weekend or longer stay. You will need a car for access as this is a 1/2 hour trip inland from Malaga airport but very centrally located for your travels, do not let this deter you, rarely do you find anywhere to match this for relaxation & class. Do not tell everyone as this is a secret GEM of a place. We will visit every year for life.

Reservamos 3 noches en el puente de agosto y no pudimos hacer mejor elección. Las fotos no engañan. El sitio es un oasis de paz y tranquilidad en plena sierra de Málaga, a 5 minutos en coche del pueblo de Alhaurín El Grande. Decorado con un gusto impecable, todos los rincones son un deleite para los sentidos. El lugar consta de 5 habitaciones y parking privado para cada una de ellas; piscina con tumbonas, hamacas y camas balinesas, en la que te puedes bañar a cualquier hora (respetando siempre a los demás huéspedes); una zona chill out con un honesty bar; y una zona de desayuno encantadora donde Peter (el anfitrión), te ofrece un buffet de lo más variado teniendo en cuenta que como mucho habrá 10 huéspedes.|Nosotros nos quedamos en la habitación Limón, que consta de terraza privada con unos sofás comodísimos. La cama es grande y ella y las almohadas son cómodas. Tanto la habitación como el baño son amplios. Limpios y luminosos. Limpian la habitación y te hacen la cama diariamente. Te cambian las toallas cada 2 días y la de la piscina, si quisieras, cada día. Dispone de secador y de insecticida por si lo necesitases para algún bichito que se colase (gran detalle). El único pero que le podemos poner a la habitación es que echamos en falta una neverita en ella para poder mantener nuestras botellas de agua fresquitas.|Peter es amable y simpático. Se nota que le gusta lo que hace. Nosotros ya hemos recomendado el sitio a todos nuestros conocidos porque es una maravilla.

We recently spent the weekend at Casa Luz Del Sur and it is without doubt one of the nicest places we've ever stayed! Our room was beautiful, very tastefully done, with lovely comfortable bed and luxurious bathroom. Our host Pieter couldn't have been nicer, we received a very warm welcome when we arrived and he was kind enough to recommend local restaurants etc to us. Breakfast was amazing with lots of local produce and home made jams and orange cake( delicious!) We loved the location, so peaceful and quiet yet within an easy walking distance of the town. Super relaxing weekend and we're looking forward to staying for longer next time!
