We stayed for 3 nights at this hotel which I really can't rate highly enough. It is in the heart of Seville within 10mins walking distance from the Cathedral and Alcazar. It is surrounded by bars and restaurants so you don't need to go far after a busy day sightseeing.
The hotel and rooms are very modern (we stayed in a Superior) with everything you could need. On the roof terrace there is a bar with great views over the city along with a small pool.
The room was spotless and cleaned daily to a very high standard. We also paid for breakfast where there is everything you could want including scrambled eggs, sausages and bacon.
What is really impressive is the staff. The Cleaning Staff, Bar Staff, Breakfast Staff, Porters and Reception Staff were all fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble. If we visit Seville again, we will certainly stay here.

Well located near cathedral but very quiet||Excellent staff, all very friendly.||Ask for a room on inside. Ours had a lovely view of the square below but couldn't have windows open because of noise. No aircon either so it was a bit stuffy at night. ||Clean. Simple decor in the room but immaculately kept. Had everything we needed.||Nice quiet sunbathing areas on rooftop.|Pool not heated, but imagine it's lovely in the summer. ||Sunbathing in January - great sun trap on the roof protected from breeze||Highly recommend visiting rooftop bar at sister hotel across the road.||Despite the small niggling details, I would recommend & will come back

I spent 5 nights at the Hotel Ximenez Alfonso Rey. It was a welcome sight after a horrendous 3 plane trip from the USA. The staff is exceptional: professional, friendly, courteous, and helpful. The staff always greeted me with an "hola" when arriving and departing the hotel. The room is large and decorated in monochrome colors. The breakfast cost 18 euros but was very good and included fresh fruit, yogurt, hot food, pastries, cheese, bread, and meat. There is an automatic coffee machine offering a variety of hot drinks. The TV screen is huge - I think 60" with mainly news channels in English. It took me 2 days to find the refrigerator - it is located behind a lower panel in the desk, accessed by pushing the panel inwards ( there is no handle ). The bathroom water was hot and all of the shower/bath amenities were provided, including a hair dryer. The location is ideal - a 5 minute walk from the Real Alcazar, Seville Cathedral, and Archivos de Indias. I opted to take a taxi from the airport at a fixed rate of 29.95 euros. A wise decision, as I watched others dragging their suitcases along the cobblestone pathways. I ate at 2 restaurants in the patio in front of the hotel: Bar Carmela and El Pasaje. Both were good but El Pasaje was excellent. I highly recommend this hotel.

Amazing location, we were within 5 to 15 minutes walking of everything we wanted to do and see. In fact, we ate several times just within a few minutes of the hotel because there’s plenty of nice restaurants, including breakfast spots. safe lively neighborhood. The hotel rooftop was amazing - great views & great service. We spent New Years Eve here, and they provided us with a complementary champagne bottle. So thoughtful! We were so surprised and pleased! Couldn’t have asked for kinder hotel staff or nicer facilities.

We are about to return from a wonderful five night stay in the beautiful city of Seville. The Rey Alfonso X is an excellent, meticulously clean hotel, with brilliant helpful staff. We had a slight personal problem with our room (not the hotels fault). We were offered an alternative room without any fuss. Breakfast is superb with a great choice of fresh fruit, cheese, meats, hot bacon and scrambled eggs even Cava if wanted. The hotel even went that extra mile on our penultimate night with a bottle of bubbly in the room and a nice letter from management. We spent each evening sat on the small but well positioned roof terrace enjoying drinks from its bar and capturing the last rays of sun. |Seville is a must see city all within walking distance of the hotel. |Highlights are the Plaza de Espania, Alcazar of Seville and the Cathedral and bell tower.|We cannot recommend the hotel and city enough.

Excellent hotel. Good location and the staff were very friendly and helpful. |Room was clean and modern. |Did not take the breakfast option as there are lots of coffee bars and restaurants nearby. Smelled good though!|Only niggle I had was the Wi-if which was limited and the channel options on the tv - not that you go to Seville to watch tv. |Didn’t use the pool, however, the terrace bar was nice. |Would use again without hesitation.

I stayed at the Hotel Ray Alfonso in mid Feb. From the moment I checked in, to the day I had to check out everything in this hotel was just perfect.
My room was just beautiful, extremely spacious, full of natural light, clean and with an excellent size mounted tv I must say.
I had a balcony which over looked the court yard, first thing in the morning I liked to open the doors and listen to the church bell.
Where my room was located it was extremely peaceful day and night.
The rooms had towels, lots of toiletries, razor, shaving gel, shampoo conditioner, body wash and cream. Plus more! Replaced daily if needed.
I had a spacious shower and again everything so clean.
One delight was the coffee machine which I used every morning 🙂
Right next to me was the rooftop where you had sun loungers.
Rooms were also cleaned daily.
The hotel reception staff were so polite, so helpful and welcoming every time you left and returned.
All the staff at the hotel were so lovely.
The hotel location is perfect, not far from the airport and walking distance to all the sights, amazing restaurants and bars.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and cannot wait to stay at this beautiful hotel again.
Thank you Hotel Ray Alfonso for all your hospitality!

The Hotel Rey Alfonso X was a wonderful surprise on our recent trip to Sevilla. Modern and spotlessly clean, the property is ideally located in the heart of the historic district. It is less than a five-minute walk to the Catedral de Sevilla. Rooms are large, quiet, and comfortable. Service was superb from the friendly and efficient staff. Don't miss the rooftop bar with its splendid views (see photo) and generous drinks. This will definitely be our hotel when we return to Sevilla. A warm thank you to staff for the restaurant recommendations and other favours.
