I bought my first Vandas from Motes Orchids last week, and I don't know how I've made it this long without knowing about them! I bought a 3 Pack deal and all 3 plants were in perfect shape. Two of the three were double plants so it's like I got 5 vandas in total. One was already in bloom when it arrived, which was totally unexpected. I love that they grow their own orchids and don't just import from mass growers. I buy from those sellers as well and get great plants, but I do enjoy buying from a small business here in Florida, especially when they have such great prices on such amazing vandas!

Motes Orchids are one of the best orchid growers. Their plans arrive in perfect condition, and the shipping is speedy. Most of the plants I received were in bloom and had healthy roots. If you have anything to discuss with them, they answer the emails in just a few minutes. I will continue buying orchids from them.

They have marvelous orchids growing locally in Miami (Homestead) but the very important thing about Motes is their customer service. They are very helpful and friendly. Bartholomew answers any questions you have instantly and courteously. You can not do wrong with this company. I recommend 100 %

Motes is the place for excellent, healthy orchids and knowledgeable people. All my orchids from Motes are thriving. The one in my photo, for example, has grown so well that it’s produced two more huge pups and I had to cut it to separate and reattach. It’s still happy as can be on my crape myrtle tree. I bought this one as an non-blooming cut at an orchid show.

Awesome online shopping experience!

This was my first time purchasing from Motes, and I am glad that I did because (1) super fast turnaround time, my order was shipped out within 24 hrs, (2) shipping was free, (3) Motes makes their own unique vanda hybrids (often fragrant, which I like), and (4) extremely generous operators.

I order 2 plants: a grower’s choice mature vanda and a V. Crystelle Smith — this one is a primary hybrid that I’ve been trying to find for the past couple of years to no avail.

I received the vandas that I ordered, plus 2 extra vandas for FREE— one of which is another V. Crystelle Smith (Thank you so much, Bart!!)

Overall, all plants are in excellent condition with healthy foliage and tons of thick roots. Two of them arrived in bloom — with amazing fragrance.

I am overjoyed about my purchase and am looking forward to buying from Motes again soon!

I had ordered a type of vanda from Motes Orchids a few week ago, and a box arrived at my house last Friday! I opened a box as soon as it had arrived and took a vanda out of the box and set aside the box to be thrown away! Next day, I saw an identical vanda sitting near the kitchen sink and asked my wife where the second vanda came from. Fortunately, my wife had opened the box before she was ready to throw it away as she found another vanda in the box! What a pleasant surprise as I ordered only one vanda! The second vanda had already spiked so it is fully mature (the first vanda has not spiked yet but it’s bigger than the second vanda so just matter of time). I cannot thank enough Motes Orchid for sending me two vandas! If you are looking for specific vandas, Motes Orchids is the place to visit and is highly recommended to any vanda lovers!

Loved visiting here! The owner is a vast wealth of knowledge and has an amazing collection of orchids. You do need to set up a time to visit but they are very flexible and welcoming.
