The most comfortable, cozy and home-like hostel stay ever! Clean dorm rooms, hot water and the overall chill vibe of the place really made me feel at ease, so much that I didn’t wanna leave the place to even explore the city. The place is run by amazing humans, helped by wonderful and friendly staff and hands down has the cutest pets! Really appreciate how helpful Saran is. Would recommend the stay to anyone looking for a calm and clean stay in Gangtok, specially women.

Very good hostel - the location is amazing, the host Saran is friendly and amazing - he helped us with his great recommendations across the city and getting a good driver for travelling, the staff is amazing and friendly and the cats Kafka and Baloo are also amazing. View from the hostel is spectacular. Would recommend!

Stayed in Gangtok for 4 nights, 2 nights in Tag Along and another 2 in Tag Along 2.0.

Location of 2.0 is farther away from the market, lot of stairs to walk down and back up, but totally worth the beautiful views from the property. Saran, the host, is helpful beyond the norm. A home away from home.

The hostel has a great view of Gangtok and it is clean. The rooms are well maintained with a lot of games, a projector and a good wifi connection. What else you need in a hostel! The owner is also very friendly and solved every problem we had to the best of their abilities.

There are 2 issues
1. Location- Although they have mentioned how to reach there, it is difficult to find even in daylight as there’s no direct road access to this property.
It is next to impossible to find it during nighttime especially for the first time.

2. The management needs to focus on basic amenities. We ran out of water in the morning when we were getting ready for our onward journey to pelling and were late. Although the water supply was restored within 30-45min, it is something that could have been avoided.

Stayed in the Kongchen room for a workation. Great pet friendly rooms and service. Can rent bikes and cycles from nearby. Full functioning kitchen that runs from morning to around early dinner time. Peaceful area with a view and friendly pets. There are stairs involved in getting to n back from the place but then that's the mountain experience anyway right 🙂
Connectivity wasn't an issue either as I was juggling office and visiting town areas. Expect a 15min journey to peak happening town areas like MG marg

Stayed here for a week…. Would have loved to stay here for a year 🙂

This easily is one of the best hostels I stayed in because it gives you the local and proper hostel experience that many hostel chains fail to do now..

It’s not what the hostel is best at, it’s how it makes you feel. I was absolutely at peace, read books, slept well and had great company all day!
There were no complaints at all, but if at all I did, I’m sure I’ll be helped by the staff if I asked.

I noticed Saran going above & beyond a lot of times for the guests and I’m really thankful for that

Goodbyes are really hard in a place like this 🙂

New Tag Along hostel. Decent rooms and cafe food. Lot of activities to do. Very good view of valley and mountains.

They are petting a few dogs and cats in the lobby which I didn't prefer.

Have to take 130 steps down to reach. A negative against the positive things it can offer.

One of the greatest stays I have ever experienced. Stay offers you a brand new view every morning and throughout the day. One of the great places to do workation as well. Staffs are very friendly and they are always there to help you out.
Thanks to Saran, Zami for making my stay much homely.
I also recommended this stay to my friends because of this great experience. Love to visit again.
