Every thing is okay but you will not get food as u want. Rooms are of very poor quality. TVs are out of plan . Tv don't work. But location is the best in this hotel.
Staffs are not co-operative .
Staff drink alcohol and don't provide good service.

Very cooperative and good staff. Service is very good. Specially Rahul will always attend your request with a smile. The manager is also very cooperative. Chef and Food is good. Though it's a bit away from MG Road but at the end of the day their service will compensate.View from the Deluxe Rooms is beautiful. Over all it was a comfortable stay and pleasant experience.

The Griffon's Nest is a very cozy, clean and comfortable hotel located at 2nd mile ( upper Chandmari ) in Gangtok. Rooms are spacious, well furnished, clean and comfortable. Food service is par excellent. The staff is very humble, cooperative and caring. Location of the hotel is its strength. Situated at about 6000 feet, it provides nice view of the city. It's really a good, safe and so preferable choice especially for family stay in Gangtok.

The rooms are spacious, and come with a great view. The staffs are also friendly and hospitable. Breakfast is ok. The only thing that was not upto the mark was cleanliness, the rooms were not clean and even after making multiple requests, the cleaning staffs were not available. But apart from this, the hotel is good and worth your money.

Rooms are very poorly managed. The whole room was dirty. The washrooms are unhygenic and it's full of insects. The staffs are very unfriendly and it's written 3 double bed for 4 person in online but gave us only one double bed. When we asked they said we can give you matresses. They said extra bed means matresses.

Even though the view was fantastic from the window. It was so pretty to watch the clouds. View is very good. If you are just finding a room with a good view point you can try this.
The hotel has a terrace garden which is also very nice. 3 stars only for the views.

The food was very bad. It's tasteless. There is menu but 60% of the foods from the menu were not available

Griffon's Nest is a solemn retreat located high above the rest of the Gangtok city and the tranquility and hospitality of this dwelling is what one needs to unwind and recharge oneself. The views from this hotel is a treat for the eyes if you happen to stay in the view rooms, else the terrace for the folks who do not get the view rooms. The whole management is quite helpful, friendly and eager to help you out. The extra cost (if any) you pay in local taxis is compensated by the reasonably priced rooms, beautiful views and a friendly atmosphere. A must for the birds who love to fly at higher altitudes.

We stayed here in 2018–19 for 10 days. We chose this hotel because it is away from the crowded Gangtok places. We enjoyed walking down the curves to the main market and return by taxi. The food is amazing, staff is very friendly. The owner requested us to cut the new year cake and all the staff members were present. The view from the terrace is amazing. When my husband planned to bring me here for my 50th birthday this year, we again chose this hotel. Everything is same, same good food, good staff, clean rooms, good wifi. Recommended for those who want to stay away from the crowd.

While searching for the budget hotels in Sikkim's capital, we came across this comfortable place named the Griffons's nest, which is around 3 kms from the happening M G Road and situated in chandmari. This place is situated en route Nathula Pass and Changu lake. As the location is uphill from the main city, the view you get from the hotel is worthwhile. Rooms are comfortable and affordable with the staff service just a call away. If you don't want to go out for food, you can get good food here too. Taxi is available to the city as it is the only mode of transport to go around (walking is another option), though, in the late hours after 7:30 pm or so, the taxi will charge you thrice the rate to reach here. All in all good hotel to stay at and you can get the idea of other places to explore from the staff here, they are really helpful.
