We stayed in very comfortable and spacious suite in the old home with an excellent breakfast. It was quiet and relaxing and a short drive from Lancaster. The breakfast was scrambled eggs with peppers and local cheese, homemade sourdough with cinnamon butter and overnight oats. The host greeted us with fresh baked cookies. It was a lovely stay. Definitely recommend picking the Metzler Suite so you're in the old house!

First off this bed and breakfast is out of the way. If your looking for peace and quiet this place is for you. We rented 2 of the three rooms they offer. Everything here is clean, new and well kept. The rooms are larger then average. Amber the owner is a fantastic host. Very down home and a pleasure to talk to. She is also a great cook! She made us feel welcome the moment we arrived. I highly recommend this place!

We stayed in the Meyer Suite. The room was large and beautifully decorated. We had so many windows overlooking the countryside. The breakfast they brought TO OUR ROOM was homemade and delicious! The Innkeeper was so kind and thoughtful. Definitely check this place out.

I stayed in the Historic Metzler Suite, & it was a great experience. The area is beautiful & peaceful, the accommodations comfortable & spacious, & the breakfast was absolutely delicious. Amber & Merv are wonderful, sweet hosts, & the location is pretty convenient. I hope to stay again soon 🙂

I was a photographer at a wedding here in 2023 and loved exploring the area. Not only is the space beautiful but all owners and contacts we're kind and quick to ensure that the event ran smoothly. I cannot wait to share a gallery with them here soon that showcases their space and the stunning wedding day! The getting ready rooms were spacious and allowed for great lighting and lots of neutral walls to bounce flash off of when needed.

2024-New owners are great. We enjoyed our visit as always and will definitely be back! Thanks to Amber and Merv for being so warm and welcoming. 2023 - Our 9th visit ! That in itself should say how much we recommend this B&B. It never disappoints. 2022 Update-Just went for our 8th visit! We highly recommend this B&B. We visit each year and are never disappointed. This year, we noticed they had replaced the walking bridge to our suite. So pretty. Thanks to Kristen and Scott for sharing your property! 2021 - We love Hertzog's B&B. This was our 7th visit. It has such a welcoming, relaxing atmosohere that we make it a point to visit at least once per year. The food is also amazing and homemade! We would highly recommend!

We just returned home from staying at your lovely place and are ready to return!! We loved how quiet everything was and the beautiful scenery. The breakfast was enough to carry over till lunch and still had plenty left over. The French toast casserole, rhubarb pie, cinnamon bread, and blueberry bread was very delicious as well as the breakfast casseroles. Loved the fresh granola for our yogurt as well. We ended up bringing some of the pastries home for our family to try and they loved them. The room was big and very comfortable and will definitely be returning in the fall. ❤️

I was involved in a wedding at Hertzog Homestead and I have to say it would not have been the delightful success it was without all the extra work and care the entire staff put into it. They made last minute significant accommodations, provided helpful suggestions, and did everything they could possibly do to make it a great experience. While I was running around, the owner was so thoughtful and checked in on me several times. She even brought me homemade scones and yogurt which were absolutely incredible! I also stayed on grounds and my cottage was so amazing! The room had little notes about the grounds and the history of the place which I thought was an awesome touch. Overall, everyone loved the venue and the reception and it would not have been possible without them. I am so grateful to Kristen, Scott, and Mykayla.
