I was part of a large group of Westerners who stayed for two nights this week. Three of us had a lower floor room. The hotel looks nice on the surface but underneath we found it unpleasant to stay. The room (lower floor, 108) was very damp and cold. The fan in the bathroom did not work and part of the ceiling was falling down in the bathroom. The hot water in the shower only worked for 1.5 minutes and then went cold. There was no hot water in the sink. The towels were wet. The bedding and pillows had black mould on them. The little carpet near the bed was very dirty so that walking with bare feet made my feet black and gritty. The air smelled and felt damp while sleeping. The staff were helpful and attentive when we asked for extra blankets.

I would give it a two star rating as we have slept in multiple three star Indian hotels which have been a better experience.

The location: Right next to the Tashi view point where we could just take a two minutes stroll and climb up a few steps to watch the majestic Kanchenjunga in all the golden glory at dawn. The place is around 7 km from MG road where the market is located in Gangtok. It's a calm and quiet place but there are hardly any shops nearby. The room was very clean and well furnished. The staff were very friendly and courteous. They have a restaurant and the food was good. Overall the service was excellent and I would definitely choose this hotel if I happen to visit Gangtok in the future. The night view and the early morning view from the room window can be seen in the photos along with this review.

Hotel is good. And service was also good. reasonable price .Food was best quality.
We met chef, he is young but expert,special thanks for his nice professional behavior. Extra stars rating for him.

Tip: Please make warm water as default serving to rooms.

We stayed here for couple of nights. The location is far from MG Marg and market.

The initial room given to us had some issues, like bathroom lamp was not working and condition of the room was not that good. But after requesting they gave us the new room, even there few lamps were not working.

The main issue is the food. They had only 3-4 options in a dinner and there's hardly any options nearby and it closes by 7 pm.

Hi !

This stay was booked in emergency so I'm giving them benefit of doubt.

Firstly, the rooms weren't ready but i guess that's expected. But they didn't make us wait.

The towels and slippers were not provided for one room( we had booked 3 rooms)

The rooms were clean. Don't know if they cleaned the toilet beforehand or not, the toiletries weren't provided for one room.

The service was good, the person assigned to our rooms was attentive and quick.

The dinner provided was just average and the breakfast buffet provided the next day, didn't have much choices for the amount they were charging.

Overall it's a okay place to stay but it's hard to catch a cab unless you have pre-booked it. Plus it's a bit far from the main bazzar.

Let me start with the bad.|1. The hotel is very very basic, so don't have too many expectations |2. It is poorly maintained and managed - it's breaking apart piece by piece |3. Our room had a damp smell when we entered and bathroom had a unbearable smell.|4. The floor was dirty as if it had not been cleaned for weeks of not months. The bottom of our feet had a layer black dirt because of walking bare feet|5. Internet does not work inside rooms|6. TV doesn't work |7. Pillows were smelly old with stains on them ||Now the good.|1. Inspite of all the shortfalls, the staff is very curtious and always willing to help|2. They offered to upgrade our room without asking|3. Food is very good - the chef asked what we wanted to eat, probably because we were the only ones staying||All in all, our experience wasn't great, we were disappointed several times but the attitude of the staff is worth mentioning. |
