Love the location the service the people and the breakfast we had. Lisa, John and Joan ate all great people. Loved it here. If you have trouble with knees or hips I would not suggest the African room where we were. It's not in the main house which I would better suggest. The bed was very comfortable and it was nice but the toilet did not flush properly and we had to do several flushes. Typical of an older building but that would need to be fixed. But this place is spot on the location is gorgeous the people are great the food was good and the company was fabulous!!

Gorgeous old home full of antiques, books and even a grand piano. The owners are most hospitable and you will feel like family. Wonderful 4 nights of very quiet and comfortable sleep. Great hot showers once the hot water heater turned on. First night shower cool. We might have been the first guests of the season. Breakfast options good. Parking easy. Quick walk downhill to Lennox restaurants etc. Large grounds with hills for happy children and sweet doggies. Pets welcome. Very close to Tanglewood via optional scenic back roads. This home was built in 1867 and visitors will see walls needing minor repairs, but was not a big deal. The gardens were in bloom, including the gorgeous and fragrant wisteria. Looking forward to returning here!

Being in Lenox was lovely, but my stay at Whistler's Inn was quite primitive. Whistler's Inn was built around the year 1790, and although electricity has been installed there not much else has changed since then. Since my bedroom could get quite chilly, I was provided with a space heater. For air conditioning, I could open or close the window about 3 inches.

Positive: This was a home and old with character. It was quiet. Negative: Musty, damp smell when you walked in the main floor. The room was chilly and of course the time of year the owner did not turn the heat on yet. My room had a small heater which was perfect in warming up the room.

My dtr and i stayed in October. The Inn was decorated with some beautiful antiques which is what drew our attention and why we booked. We had thought it had lots of charm and we could enjoy some time reading in the library area or having coffee on the patio. However when we arrived the feel of the environment was not as inviting. We felt uncomfortable spending time in the inn other than being in our room.
Not a lot of modern amenities available so make sure that is not one of your wants during your stay. Nice location to downtown and local attractions. Power went out twice in our room and had to be shown circuit breakers so I could reset on my own when it went out again. Looked like some guests were enjoying their stay unfortunately, my dtr and I enjoyed more of the Berkshires and not so much the inn. Pricey stay compared to other lodgings. No fridge, no coffee or water available through the day or if there was we were not given the tour or information about it. May be a good stay for some but not a place for everyone.

Whistler’s Inn is a grand old mansion in the charming Berkshires town of Lenox. Everything about the property — its regal sitting and dining rooms, expansive garden, and just-near-enough location on the edge of the village — gives one a sense of Gilded Age life a hundred or more years ago.||||Our room was spacious with a comfortable bed, clean bathroom, and a view of the large backyard garden. Breakfast is generous and tasty, and, because it’s served at a large banquet table, it’s accompanied by friendly intercourse with the Inn’s other guests.||||What made Whistler’s especially enjoyable were the Inn’s manager-hosts: Richard, Joan, and Lisa. All three are genuinely welcoming and helpful, and conversation was always intelligent and interesting. My wife and I were sorry to leave such nice company…I have a feeling we’ll be back!

We had a magical family get-together at the Whistler's Inn. It was even more charming than the photos show and Lisa was a wonderful and thoughtful hostess! Great value and feels like home.

It's a mansion. Full on grand piano in the conservatory. It's stepping back in time. Stay for breakfast and have the french toast, made with homemade vanilla extract. And, if you're fortunate, you get chat with the hostess and her daughter. We came for a concert, we stayed for the pleasant company. Go
